Mummy Brownies

Jump to Recipe

These mummy brownies are easy to make and a huge hit, especially with kids!

With Halloween approaching, I wanted to share my favorite Halloween party recipe. These mummy brownies are adorable and so quick and easy to make. I make mine with my favorite box of Trader Joe’s Gluten Free mix to save time, but you can use any recipe. I make my boxed brownies bit better by adding butter instead of oil, walnuts and only use 1 egg for fudge-like texture.

Description

These mummy brownies are easy to make and a huge hit, especially with kids!

Ingredients

Scale

12 brownies
½ cup vanilla melting wafers
24 candy eyeballs
1 sandwich sized ziplock bag

Instructions

  1. Add vanilla melting wafters to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 45 seconds, until almost melted. Use a spoon mix completely together until smooth.
  2. Open the ziplock bag and set into a small glass. Fold the bag over the edges of the glass. Use a spoon to scoop the melted wafers into the bag, filling to about two thirds full. Remove the bag from the glass and hold the top of the bag to push the melted wafers towards the tip. Twist the open end and hold with one hand. Using your other hand, cut a small hole in the end of the bag. Now you are ready to make your mummy brownies!

Notes

Get messy with these! They should look like mummies, so don’t worry about keeping the frosting neat.

Thanks for the explanation of how to make these! I tried with chocolate before but it was a mess. Using the wafers from now on!
