This bubbly cocktail uses gut-healthy kombucha for a fun twist on a classic margarita!
I’ve been addicted to Health-Ade Kombucha since I tried them at a blogger event hosted by Whole Foods a few months ago. To celebrate Margarita Week with over 100 of my favorite bloggers, I’m combining my love for margaritas with my love for kombucha with this bubbly kombucha-rita featuring Heath-Ade California Grape Kombucha.
Since the Kombucha is already slightly sweet, all you need to add is tequila and you’ve got a refreshing drink. If you want to make it into a more traditional margarita, follow these simple steps:
- Fill a glass with crushed ice
- Add 1 shot of silver tequila (make sure it’s bat friendly!)
- Add 2 ounces of freshly squeezed lime juice
- Add 1 ounce of Cointreau (optional, but delicious!)
- Fill rest of glass with your favorite Health-Ade Kombucha (I like California Grape for this recipe)Β

Ingredients
Crushed or whole ice
1 shot of silver tequila,
2 ounces of freshly squeezed lime juice
1 ounce of Cointreau (optional, but delicious!)
Β½ bottle of your favorite Health-Ade Kombucha (I like California Grape)
Salt rimmed glass
Instructions
- Fill a glass with ice. Add 1 shot of silver tequila, 2 ounces of freshly squeezed lime juice, and 1 ounce of Cointreau if using.
- Fill rest of glass with your favorite Health-Ade Kombucha. Stir and enjoy!
Notes
To rim your glass with salt, take a small slice of lime wedge and run around the rim of your glass. Poor salt onto a small plate and dip the rim of your glass into the salt.
